Green Friday : un challenge pour changer ses habitudes de consommation avant le Black Friday
Le Green Friday vient de lancer sur son compte Instagram le #GreenFridayChallenge. Jusqu’au 27 novembre 2020, jour du Black Friday, le collectif partagera des petits gestes pour adopter pas à pas une consommation plus responsable.
Bientôt le Black Friday. Ce rendez-vous annuel né aux États-Unis aura lieu le 27 novembre 2020. De nombreuses enseignes effectueront des rabais monstres sur des centaines de produits du quotidien : textiles, appareils électroménagers, ordinateurs, etc. Cet événement organisé un mois avant les fêtes de fin d’année est une aubaine, mais pousse à la surconsommation. Les promotions affichées sont tellement séduisantes qu’elles nous incitent à tout acheter, même des articles dont on n’a pas besoin. L’an dernier en France, plus de 56 millions de paiements par carte bancaire ont été enregistrés sur une seule journée ! Happés par les offres, nous oublions malheureusement une chose : tous ces achats compulsifs et inutiles ont un coût environnemental énorme.
De nombreuses voix s’élèvent pour dénoncer cette grande messe du consumérisme. Parmi elles, le collectif Green Friday. Créé en 2017 par l’entreprise Envie et porté par Altermundi, Dream Act, Ethiquable et le Réseau des Acteurs du Réemploi (REFER), il réunit associations et entreprises autour d’une même ambition : promouvoir une consommation responsable et raisonnée, et redonner le pouvoir au consommateur. « Refusant l’immobilisme, le collectif Green Friday a décidé d’agir en rappelant que l’acte d’achat est un choix fort, avec des conséquences concrètes sur l’environnement lorsqu’il est motivé par des causes justes et durables. Le but n’est pas de culpabiliser, mais bien de sensibiliser les citoyens à une consommation plus responsable », explique-t-il sur son site. L’an dernier, 400 structures avaient rejoint le Green Friday.
#GreenFridayChallenge : des actions pour changer ses habitudes de consommation
Cette année, le Green Friday se mobilisera de nouveau. Et pour cette quatrième édition, le collectif entend bien rappeler que « les actions individuelles peuvent avoir un impact décisif sur le collectif ». Pour ce faire, il a lancé le 29 octobre dernier sur Instagram le #GreenFridayChallenge, « 30 jours d’actions ou de questions autour de thématiques vertes et éco-responsables ». Jusqu’au 27 novembre, le Green Friday proposera aux internautes des petits défis à relever. Exemples : trier ses médicaments, acheter d’occasion. Les participants sont invités à poster une photo de leur action avec le hashtag #GreenFridayChallenge. Les posts seront ensuite partagés par le collectif en stories.
Comme en 2019, les entreprises adhérentes du collectif s’engageront à ne pas proposer de réductions à leurs clients le jour du Black Friday, et reverseront 10% de leur chiffre d’affaires de la journée au profit d’associations engagées sélectionnées par le collectif. Cette année, trois organismes ont été retenus : Zero Waste France, Halte à l’Obsolescence Programmée et Surfrider Foundation France.
